Insurance Assistance

The San Mateo Center for Cosmetic Dentistry works with most dental insurance programs used by major employers in our area.

Our goal is to maximize your insurance benefits and make any remaining balance easily affordable. If you have any questions regarding you insurance benefits, please don’t hesitate to contact us to review your concerns.

Financial Assistance

Our fees are based on the quality of the materials we use and our experience in performing your needed treatment. Our goal is not to let expense prevent you from benefiting from the quality of care you desire and need. To facilitate this goal we have developed the following financial options:

5% accounting adjustment is allowed when fees in excess of $125 are paid in full by cash or check on the day that treatment is presented or in advance of scheduling the appointment.
Credit Cards. In addition to personal checks and cash, we accept payment through Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.
Extended Payment Plan. We offer an extended payment plan for amounts up to $25,000 upon approved credit. This plan has the following features: No down payment, A long term program with low monthly payments, No prepayment penalty. Low fixed interest rates for the amount finances.
Dental Insurance. If you have dental insurance, we will assist you in filing your dental claims and do our best to estimate what benefits you will be reimbursed for. It is our pleasure to assist you with setting up a payment program that will meet your needs prior to scheduling your first appointment to begin treatment.

Financial Guidelines

Payment for treatment is due and payable the day services are rendered. It is our goal, however, to assist all of our patients in obtaining the dental treatment they deserve. Therefore, we are pleased to offer several payment options. Please read the following carefully, and our financial coordinator will answer any questions you may have and assist you in selecting the appropriate financial plan for your needs.

Appointment Guidelines

In order to serve our patients better, we strive to maintain an efficient, professional dental practice. The philosophy of our practice is not to process a high volume of patients. Rather, we reserve appropriate blocks of time for each of our patients so that the procedures may be completed with close attention to detail and as few interruptions as possible. Missed appointments have a negative effect on our ability to maintain the level of service you deserve. While we are aware that circumstances may arise that may conflict with set appointments, we request two business days notice so that we may attempt to contact other patients awaiting time for treatment

For certain cosmetic and large procedures, your treatment may require an appointment of three or more hours. To ensure that we can provide you with the specialized attention required for these lengthy appointments, a nonrefundable deposit will be required. The entire deposit will be applied to your treatment on the day services are rendered, provided we receive at least a one week notice for your need to reschedule this time.
