San Mateo dentist Dr. Michael Wong has had the pleasure of serving his community for over 25 years. Because of his commitment to continuing education, he is able to offer his patients outstanding care with state of the art technology, yet with an old-fashioned caring touch.
Dr. Wong was born and raised in the Bay Area and graduated from the University of California at San Francisco School of Dentistry in 1983. Upon establishing his practice in San Mateo, he became active in the San Mateo County Dental Society, serving on the Board of Directors and as an award-winning Editor of its newsletter.

In 2013 I graduated from University of the Pacific’s Dugoni School of Dentistry with a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene. I started working for Dr. Wong in April of 2014 and really enjoy working with the latest technology offered in our office. I love working with my patients to make them feel comfortable and enjoy their dental experience. In my spare time I love being with my family and my two Australian Shepherds.
I have worked as a hygienist for Dr. Wong for over 8 years. I take a genuine interest in each patient and approach the relationship as if they will be part of our practice for decades. I really love and enjoy my role as a dental hygienist, at times I forget i’m actually “working.” Education and motivating patients is especially rewarding when they return with improved home care routines and results. Health and fitness is also a big part of my life. I teach spin & kickboxing classes, have completed numerous half & full marathons, and have started to compete in body building shows. I also enjoy going to concerts and sporting events. Most importantly, I love spending time with family, friends and my two adorable pugs.
I am a Certified Massage Therapist that specializes in therapeutic massage for women. Prior to working with Dr. Wong, I managed by own business working with children for over 13 years. Caring for and nurturing others has always be a focus in my work life. There is no greater reward than knowing I have positively contributed to the lives of others.As the office coordinator, I have the pleasure of connecting with all of our patients. What I find most fulfillling is making their dreams come true. I enjoy making patients feel comfortable in our office and confident about their desired treatment. I love creating a positive experience for them; one that will last a lifetime.
I graduated from College of San Mateo in 2004 and have been an assistant for over 10 years. I joined Dr Wong’s practice in 2013 and I feel so fortunate to work with a team that is driven by compassion. My hobbies include reading, cooking, painting, traveling and I also volunteer at Saint Anthony’s and San Bruno pet shelter. I love my job and working with the SMCCD team because we are a family and it allows me to serve and connect with the patients as being part of a community.

Building personal relationships has always been very important to me and that is one of the reasons I love my job here. There’s nothing more rewarding then seeing our patients walk in with a smile and looking forward to their next visit when they leave.
